DADn.ME is fresh new brand launched in May 2015. This brand is about changing perceptions – getting dads more involved with their children’s lives and bringing to light the magic that is parenting.
The Changing Dynamics:
Social Dynamics are changing – Women are playing a greater role in the workplace and men are contributing more at home, in particular with the upbringing of children. As a work-from-home dad, I have spent a lot of time with my daughter doing school runs, taking her to classes and even learning to cook a few things. At the same time I have come across fathers who are so disconnected from their children’s lives – who don’t know which school their children go to or even what they like to eat. Research has shown that children with involved fathers do better at school – socially and academically. But there is still a social stigma attached to dad’s doing what used to be prominently mom’s role. DADn.ME is about changing perceptions – getting dads more involved with their children’s lives. At the center of the brand is a free weekly comic strip that is designed to be funny, light and emotional.
The Team:
The success of any new venture depends on the team working behind it, I believe we have a great team working to make this brand a success. I am an experienced strategy consultant and have worked with some of the biggest Retail and FMCG brands, delivering products making millions of pounds worth of revenues for clients. Another core member of my team is an experienced cartoonist who has worked on many successful web comics. We also have an experienced team of web developers helping with the digital assets and a professional team delivering the range of products behind the brand.
